Many tourists are pleasantly seduced by the numerous attractions: Great St Bernard Pass, excursions, winter and summer sports, fauna, flora, gastronomy, history, local crafts and folklore. On the southern side lies\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/http\/\/www.regione.vda.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Aosta\u00a0Valley<\/a>\u00a0with its picturesque villages: Saint-Rh\u00e9my-en-Bosses, Saint-Oyen, \u00c9troubles, Allein, Doues and Gignod in an unspoilt environment, and the Great St Bernard Ski Area resorts: Cr\u00e9vacol, Flassin and \u00c9troubles. The original buildings with their\u00a0characteristic\u00a0thick stone roofs (lose), genuine food and wholehearted reception make this itinerary all the more tempting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The city of AOSTA, founded by the Romans,&nbsp;is interesting for its history, art and gastronomy.\u2028By continuing your drive along the motorway you can reach Turin, Milan, Florence, Rome&nbsp;or the Cote d\u2019Azur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To the north lies&nbsp;the Canton of&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/http\/\/www.valais.ch\/it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Valais&nbsp;<\/a>with its&nbsp;quaint villages: Bourg-Saint-Pierre, Liddes, Orsi\u00e8res, Sembrancher. A few kilometres away are the famous winter and summer sports resorts of&nbsp;Super St-Bernard, Vich\u00e8res, Verbier and Champex, and also MARTIGNY &#8211; a Roman Gaul city with its famous&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/http\/\/www.gianadda.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&#8220;Fondation Gianadda&#8221;<\/a>. Continuing along the way you encounter Montreux, Vevey and Lausanne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex
